All is well
Rushing on our way to Home Affairs this morning to meet with the gentleman who is set to give us a letter that says I, Gloria, am going back to my country of origin -- Heaven Admin's car Banjo broke down. It was something with the gears. The good thing is that we were right across the street from probably the only place in this area that fixes or replaces gear blocks!
Etienne, the owner of the repair shop, kindly loaned us his truck so we could get to Home Affairs. We were half an hour late. Heaven Admin had called the man at Home Affaris who did understand about the car breaking down, and he left the letter for us.
I had to sign the letter as well, and while I met with Hlergine, the original lady I met with, I verified with her that I am in good standing, that I can come back into the country when I wish, that I can come in for 90 days, renewable for another 90 days. All this she verified.
So let's hope that the consulate in Chicago is able to take care of everything quickly so I can get back here where I want to be and maybe belong.
Sad to leave you, South Africa.
