Death is not a possibility
Beloved Dr. David R. Hawkins
June 3, 1927 – September 19, 2012
Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
"Consciousness research confirms that death is not a possibility.
Life itself is supported by its eternal Source, from which it cannot be separated.”
Dr. David R. Hawkins passed peacefully at home on September 19th,
surrounded by his loving pets and family.
* * *
I knew David Hawkins' through his breathtaking books and the personal letters he wrote to me about Heavenletters™. My heart knew him, and I loved him.
I know where he is and with Whom he is and always was. Now Dr. Hawkins surrounds those whose hearts he touched from a vaster field, and all momentum is growing.
Just the same, dear Dr. Hawkins, can't help missing you.
God said in Heavenletter #1385 In Memoriam to Sandy Kessler:
You feel great loss in your heart at the body death of a loved one near or far. In the shadow of death you have a clue as to the connectedness of all souls. Loss is a trick of the mind, beloveds.
Friendship is in the heart not the mind. Do not let your mind tell you that a life is over and a friendship gone. The very fact that your heart yearns for your friend tells you that he is still here. This spirit that you cannot see but yet feel in your heart – that is the truth of your friend. It was ever so.
There is no separation. There is no apartness. There is no loss. Why must your heart ache so? Let heartache go. You have your friend. He has gone nowhere. He is here with you now.

In my view, David R. Hawkins was and remains the most evolved human being on the planet in the past 1900 years. I believe that his presence and teachings have provided the necessary foundation for our next major step upward in spiritual evolution taking into account the intellectual mindset that has overtaken Western civilization.
I often forget whether something I am reading has come thru Dr. Hawkins or thru Heavenletters. They very often merge in outlook and illustration. The body of teaching left by Dr. Hawkins is daunting and I am only working my way thru it for the first time. I am convinced that it is due to the love and dedication and hard work of his wife, Susan, that we have all of this material available in a form that is easily obtainable and possible to understand. In my opinion she is the unsung hero behind this extraordinary teacher. We have been richly blessed.
"Consciousness research confirms that death is not a possibility."
I would rather say that the impossibility of death is just a corollary of Oneness, which is way beyond consciousness research. Heavenletters is a living "proof" of it, even if we well know that Oneness cannot be proven, only acknowledged, accepted.
The book Power V Force which Gloria gifted a few years ago, evoked annoyance when I read the first chapter. I was a little upset with this know-it-all attempting to quantify consciousness. Then as I got into the book, David's work captured my heart. I so much wanted to meet him. I even dreamed of going to volunteer there in the desert where his research center is. One day when the opportunity arises, I would love to read more of David's work.
This is really in reply to all these magnificent comments.
Dr. Hawkins had a confidence and authority. He didn't just believe and think -- he knew. It seems he had incorporated into himself what he must have experienced. He knew whereof he spoke. It wasn't presumption on his part. It was knowing. And he had his right-brain knowing fully integrated with his left brain excellence. He had heart and mind both covered.
At the time Dr. Hawkins wrote Power vs. Force, he saw that there were solely twelve people on Earth who were enlightened. Very few compared to so many we may hear about. By his high standards, I am sure he was one of the few enlightened on the planet at the time he gave the figure twelve.
His wife, Susan, was devoted to him. I read that she made sure he ate. I'm sure she took care of many if not all details related to his books and his appearances. It is beautiful to read of and to witness such clear purposeful devotion.
Dr. Hawkins valued Heavenletters. He did not give an exact calibration, but his wife, Susan, once on the phone to me, said they came out "high, very high." She also told me that of all the letters that came to him from people he did not know, he had responded to only two, and Heavenletters was one.
Dr. Hawkins served the world incredibly during his lifetime. And just as magnificently must he be continuing to serve God and all of us now.
We live in a wonderful world.
I give grateful thanks for the opportunity to have spent time with "Doc" and Susan on many occasions at the all-day seminars that were offered. Doc shared everything he had - with so much love and compassion, and especially HUMOR! What a blessing his life has been. Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
Barbie, was it not you who introduced me to David Hawkins in the first place?
I can't recall for sure - but it does seem like something one would do for an extremely nice neighbor! I hope I did!
