God bless the United Arab Emirates

It does seem lately that things happen through a weird series of events! I learned about what I am going to tell you because the flight attendant on Etihad gave me someone else's assigned seat! As you can imagine, athough I no longer speak of my errrors, it was my doing, for I had mistakenly handed the flight attendant the ticket stub from an earlier flight. That's how I happened to be settled in someone else's seat. Had I not made this error, how would I have known of what I am about to tell you?

While we waited for the seating to be figured out, the lady, whose seat I had usurped, and I had a good talk. She was a counselor from New York University (NYU) who had been in Abu Dhabi for a week or less to talk to prospective college students.

The United Arab Emirates had invited NYU to build a satellite campus in Abu Dhabi. The government of the United Arab Emirates paid all the expenses for the land and the university buildings. Not just any land or any buildings, but extremely gorgeous land and buildings.

Furthermore, the government in the United Arab Emirates takes care of tuition for all college students. Education is free. What a great country that gives so generously. The United Arab Emirates not only has a great idea -- it follows through on it. It seems to me that the UAR is bending over backwards to create unity and peace in the world.

The United Arab Emirates reaches across 6842.26 miles to join hands with an American university, and the American University joins hands with the UAR. God is blessing us all.
