3 Things I would change

There are three things in the world I think of this minute that I would like to change from the way they are now. If these changed, they would be like miracles!

1. I would ban the little stickers that appear on every piece of fruit now that you have to take off. I don't think they have to be there. Is this done in other countries or just in U.S.?

2. It is so hard these days to open even a new bottle of anything. In addition, just about every bottle that I can think of, once opened, is hard to close unless you have the knack. The lids are all made child-proof. Child-proof also means Gloria-proof. It's such a trial, for example, to get a bottle of bleach opened and closed. There must be another way.

3.  The third idea concerns death. Now, I would never tell God what to do. I can only commend God. I know God knows what He is doing. Please understand that it is not death that I am protesting -- here.

In my plan, there would still be death of the body. Well, of course, I would be happy if everyone I knew who has died were still alive in their bodies . At the same time, I am aware of the logistics involved. Here's what I would like to be different, however, and would consider it a great favor.

I just don't think that, after death, the now useless bodies should be left lying around for others to take care of.

Is there a possibility that, when the soul rises to Heaven, there could be a system whereby the body would simply disappear, vanish -- not even a piece of dust left? Oh, perhaps a special diamond or other kind of gem could be left in place of the body so we could know that the person's soul had left, and we wouldn't have to wonder and go looking for them.

I don't suppose that's going to happen, but I like the idea anyway.

Well, actually, I saw something about a company that does turn bodies into diamonds somehow ... something about compressing the ashes.

Of course, this still entails someone being responsible for the body ...

They say there are highly evolved beings who do just that, leaving only a pile of clothes and whatever third teeth they had (plus a rainbow in some cases). I'm intending that for myself, finding the whole fuss rather disrespectful. One day we will all know when it is time to go, and choose to do so instead of having to be thrown out. Physicalness will not be something substantial and therefore serious anymore, just a game we like playing sometimes. And we will probably find everyone is still there in their bodies, only without what we imagine to be matter.

Stickers on every piece of fruit are a hallmark of civilization, unmanageable containers ditto.

I believe I read that as well. In other countries, certainly, but in Australia, there is a tribe, who just drop their clothes and disappear. As Jochen said, I too, plan to do that for myself. I think perhaps some people are close, but still leave the body here for "others" to take care of. My step mother's heart stopped in her sleep. Later, my father found marked pages in her bible "go to be with the angels.."
Gloria, what gem would you leave?

We do have those irritating labels on fruit and vegetables here in Canada, as well. Along with civilization, comes pesticides. If you research, some countries are a bit more liberal with their spraying than others. For those of use who prefer no pesticides, and to buy local, the label is useful. Other than that, it is an annoyance.

What did parents used to do before the
child-proof lids were available? (that is probably a whole other blog)

What gem would I leave? Heavenletters, of course. But do you mean literal gem? Hmm. I think of amber and coral. But wait, I have a little sort of stone. It is supposed to be a piece of a star. I don't remember the name of it this minute, but, yes, I would leave that, though I think no one would notice it!

Some dogs will wander off into the wild when its their time to depart. I have the same plan for myself. I kinda like the idea of my body becoming compost and returning to the earth.

But I like your idea more Senora!
