A few more gems from personal Godwriting
[Please note that I condense some of what I say to God for the sake of clarity and brevity.]
Gloria to God:
God, I've been taking on too much, trying to fill others' needs, and, in the process, neglecting myself and taking away from some of my Heavenletter responsibilities. No one has asked me for anything. I've been offering it. I have to learn to say no to myself.
God:
What service do you give when you get overwrought from giving it?
***
Gloria:
God, the other day I was something of a know-it-all with someone. She was teaching a class of only eight little girls and complaining about the behavior of children today. She didn't ask me for advice. It was not my place to give it. I cut her down in front of other people. I am feeling really bad about it now.
God:
If you feel bad, let her know.
Gloria:
Yes.
God:
And stop feeling bad. Apologize to yourself for making yourself feel bad.
***
Gloria:
You see something in us that most do not see. What do You see in us, God?
God:
Me.
Comments
Gloria You are beautiful and much like me. I try to give unasked advise about shiphandling and get anoyed what silly things are done at sea. Let us both send them love from now on, as God asked us in tidays H.L. Love to all Jack
Dear Gloria, I would easily fall into the first category ("No one has asked me for anything. I’ve been offering it.". The difference is I am asking from myself and offering to myself. And I sometimes get overwrought.
