An unfinished blog entry

This entry was written down about two months ago and somehow it was hidden away. One day soon I will finish what is now incomplete.  Here's how it begins:

I don't want to be someone who gets off on coincidences and makes a big thing of them.

Nevertheless, lately coincidences are appearing faster and faster and more noticeably. Of course, the connections cannot be proved, and yet...

Here's one:

Recently Heaven Admin had some great ideas about turning the play we had been working on into a screenplay for a movie. Movie first, play later. Well, a few days after that,  in this small town in Iowa of 10,000 people, in a little restaurant, simply by chance was I at 2nd Street Cafe. At the time I was there, someone I know, by chance, was there and introduced me to a bona-fide Hollywood movie producer, director, screenwriter!!! Ta Da!

Most outstanding is that, within two minutes, this visitor from Hollywood thought the play idea I mentioned in sixty seconds was so interesting that he wanted to see it! He wanted to see it!!!!

This is big. Without effort, without intention even, a Hollywood producer has the script of this play in his possession. What are the odds!!!

Of course, we don't know the outcome, and we know better than to be attached, and yet I am on Cloud 9!

I love it when these things happen, and I love the connectedness between events in our lives. God in Heavenletters says there are no accidents. He also says there is no cause and effect, and yet we see synchronicity and we see serendipity all over the place.

I love real people. I mean people who  make no pretense. They may be famous, and still they are  just the people they are. They're not living up to something. They are just being who they are.  Bernie Siegel is an example of that. He's Bernie through and through. In private and in public. There is no grandstanding.

Today I sent an email to someone I read about. She isn't anyone I had ever met. At the same time, this is someone I had written about here in this blog site, not once but twice! I had written about her because I had read something of hers from the anthology about books that changed the authors' lives that had made a big impression on me. In this case, it was two instances from her life that expressed an assertiveness that I would like to be good at.

I also had written about Bernie and the author who had had a huge influence on him. God bless authors. I'll put the links to these blogs at the end.

Before I tell you the person I'm talking about now who went from bookkeeper to motivational public speaker, I want to talk a little bit about synchronicity in my life which is becoming more and more noticeable. By synchronicity I mean the connections between unconnected things that wind up connected, proving we are connected, proving that our thoughts -- our energy --do reach far and come back to us. Probably we've all experienced thinking about someone. The phone rings, and on the line is the person we were thinking about. Some kind of behind-the-scenes connection was made...

And that's as far as I got.

That's far enough for this one. Not that there isn't more that can be said but I don't think you could ever say all that can be said about it. However much you say, you're still going to end up with one of these . . .

Another thought, another story, will be another blog entry. That's a good story about your Hollywood producer. I expect God got a good chuckle over that one.

Beloved Charles, you make me laugh too! Every time!

God must be laughing still because the movie producer has not gotten back to me even once. I've emailed him a couple of times. There could still be hope. If I had sent this script out in regular ways, it's typical to not hear until at least three months have gone by.

I will contact this man once more before I leave.

When this post was published it so happened I was wondering about how Charles was doing and by co-incidence he happened to be the first one to comment.
