Einstein
My daughter has a way of just getting to the point of things. Whereas I may go round and round, she gets right down to it.
When I mentioned the last entry to her about those beautiful souls who retreated from the world for a length of time, and then came out as the powerful Beings they really were, and that an author had suggested that, if we want to progress to God, then we must all do that. And that just doesn't feel right to me.
My daughter said something like this:
"That would be like someone following Einstein around, seeing what he does, and doing what he does, and thinking that he will then become an Einstein."
I guess that's what I've been trying to say.
I'm not opposed to anyone's going into the desert or a cave or wherever inner promptings take him. How could I?
Here I am getting ready to relocate to Argentina. I happen to know quite a few good people who think this is... well, off the wall. I don't say everyone else should move or anyone should. It's just that the river of my life is flowing southward, and I'm following it. I do think everyone has to follow the river of their life, and not anyone else's.
After I finished writing the above, I came across this quote from a Heavenletter that is not yet out. God says it best of all:
Diverse are the paths to the happiness that man seeks.

I just read Deepak Chopra's book, Buddha, and your entries on this topic remind me of it. The message I got was that Siddhartha spends a lot of time in solitude meditating and seeking, basically trying really hard to be the very best monk. In the end, after becoming "Buddha" and enlightened, he understands that he simply needs to go home and "be". It's not the doing, striving, thinking, attempting to attain, that "progresses" one to God and there is a different "river of our life" to follow for each of us. No formula, recipe or map. Just the flow of the river.
This is really beautiful and soothing for me, dear Jo.
Actually, when I read this morning's published Heavenletter, #2666 What You Were Born For, I saw that it was also relevant to this issue, though the Heavenletter was written a month or so ago before I was aware that I had this issue.
I also see how everyone's comments make everything so much clearer to me. Thanks, Jo.
Dear Gloria,
Well if people think you are of the wall then they have a problem, one could be called envy( wish I could do that ) or judgement or whatever. You want to go south, Go Gloria Go, And here they are crude and say "bugger them, I do what I want". You know you are going with GOD's blessings so Go in peace and please enjoy. Love. Jack
May everyone in the world have a Jack Van Raders in their life.
