God Is Ever the Same

When I read over early Godwriting™ now, I am amazed at how God was just as wise and wonderful then as he is now!

Of course, it’s not really God that amazes me. It’s just I’m reminded once again that the love and wisdom of God in Godwriting is not dependent upon any acuity of the person who writes down His words. It’s no surprise that in 1999 I knew less than I know now. How comforting it is to know that the state of ignorance of the typist is irrelevant to the Godwriting. When God says anyone can do it, he means anyone can do it. It is so reassuring to me to know that God is God, and God is good, and God is not dependent upon anything but Himself.

Incidentally, God seems to have a personal message for you at the end of this Heavenletter. :)

Gloria to God:

Dear God, sometimes messages from You push their way through. I wake up with strong brimming impulse. Other times I have to sit and wait a little with pen in hand before Your thoughts ease into me. Sometimes a thought of Yours comes faintly, and I don't know where it's going or if it's going anywhere; I bravely write it anyway, and then it gains momentum in the writing, and then You're here full force, and my intention has nothing to do with it!

Now, what would You like to say, dear Father? I'll be quiet and listen.

God said:

You work for Me. What a lovely thing, to serve Me. And to serve Me in what is your style.

And that is how it is with everyone. Some with cooking. Some with music. Some with flowers. Some with their families. Some with everyone.

It is a freeing thing to work for Me. It is not labor. Working for Me is the easiest thing in the world. It is finally finding out what you have always wanted to do.

It is good for My children to offer their services to Me and ask Me what I would like them to do. Or ask Me to help them find their purpose. If it is My purpose, it is theirs.

I say to everyone:

Keep your eyes open. Listen to fleeting thoughts. Catch one.

Laugh every day.

Look up to the sky.

Touch the earth.

Combine it with Heaven.

Be a connector.

Be a receiver.

Be a receptacle for My love.

Be a ladle.

Be a stirring spoon.

Be a tasting spoon.

Be a spoon for My love.

Consider Me a spring rain.

You can cover your head. You can put your face down. Or you can look up, and let the rain splash on your face.

You can look away from Me, or you can look up at Me, and let Me reach you.

Consider Me the sun. You can put on sun glasses and wear a sun hat, but you cannot keep Me away.

I find ways to reach you, sometimes circuitous. Sometimes from under the table. Sometimes over the counter. Sometimes I am tripped over. Sometimes I come as a missile in your heart.

Sometimes you open a drawer, and you find Me there.

Sometimes you open a gate.

Sometimes you climb over a fence or under it, and I am waiting there for you.

What you can be sure of is that I find you. You may think you find me, but I find you.

I found you.

I found you long ago, and I kept you pressed to my heart. You wriggled and wrested away, thinking that out there, away from Me, was freedom.

I let you explore. What else can I do? You have to think you find Me on your own.

You never leave My sight. You are never out of My awareness or My hearing. You are within My reach. I am as close to you as your breath, which is Mine.

I think it's time that everyone who reads Heavenletters comes out of the bushes and clambers up to Me.
