God's Donkey
In Santhan’s extraordinary review of an extraordinary workshop, A Godwriting™ Workshop in Romania - an attendee’s report he mentioned that I referred to myself as God’s donkey! I would like to clarify that it is God Who called me His donkey! My ego wouldn’t allow me to think that one up myself!
More and more often and more quickly I come across connections to things that were said or thought of. Are you experiencing that as well? The other night I was rereading a book I had read long ago, A Nun’s Story by Kathryn Hulme. Look what I came across in a scene where the Mother Superior is advising the novice who is the main character:

“…try to be the little donkey of Jesus who goes his way without prodding. Take up every burden without inner murmuring. Take it like that little donkey who carried the hope of the world up the stony slopes of Jerusalem.

Oh YES, Gloria!
Those little "synchronicities" of things "said or thought of" are so delightful and so powerful. I love the passage you quoted from "A Nun's Story". I have no idea whether this book was fiction or non-fiction, but I often find that a passage or phrase in a novel can be every bit as powerful and meaningful as a passage in a spiritual volume. Ditto lyrics in a song on the radio and lines in a movie or play. This always makes me think of the bumper sticker: Jesus is still speaking. We really have to be working hard at avoidance to miss all the loving messages the Divine showers upon us. I also agree that serving in the proper capacity for ones self - whatever that may be - never feels heavy or burdonsome. It's the gift that keeps on giving back almost magically.
All Light and Love in All Ways,
Jo
:D The joyful effortlessness of God's donkey is a state I know well and rejoice in too :D. Isn't it wonderful that we have the internet to ease all burden from our feet and backs!
Dearest G.,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I love you!!!

10,000,000 ad infinitum!
Jo, I'm not certain, but I think The Nun's Story is fiction but definitely based on a real nun's story. The book certainly reads like non-fiction.
Trish, you're a donkey too?!
Querida Kimberly Querida, I love you too! I think it is God you are thanking!
Love and blessings,
Gloria
Dearest Gloria,
I know the "sychronicities" you talk about, they are sometimes really surprising and amazing!! God guides us
and plays with us in many many ways. Sometimes I think I see Him smiling when I got the meaning of a particular situation, so loving and sweet He is!
About the "burden":
"When a mother carries her child in her arms it is not at all a burden for her...","Where there is love, there is no effort." (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also known as Amma).
all my love

Dear, dear Gloria,
Reading God's message tonight has once again filled my heart with light. There was an answer to me in this particular message.I had a difficult, strange time these last few days and reading the letter has eased my worried soul. I'm searching, I'm trying to find my way..
You know, we've met in Bucharest at the end of that magic seminar. I remember the beautiful light in your eyes. I felt like I have known you before, I felt at home.
God bless you and Monica who made it possible for us to meet!
All my love,
Alexandra
Beloved Alexandra, I remember you very well, how you introduced yourself to me. You were one of the very few who were already subscribing to Heavenletters in English!
You must know that the workshop in Romania was a high point of my life. God blessed me that day. Any light in my eyes was occasioned by the light of 125 pure souls who were so ready to open their hearts fully to God.
God bless you, angel.
Goria, your writing is always so special and an enormous blessing to us readers. I play around with a little writing, however mine comes out more like the jackass I've proven mysef to be at times.
I've recently found Neil D. Walsh's books and often am reading your words in his work. For my own curiosity, when did you start writing Heavenletters?
To be completely frank, I feel that there is a special consciousness that Some of us can tap into. Jesus, Buddha, Paul Twitchle, Neil Walsh and of course Gloria are frequently writing from that higher plane of consciousness.
Blessing and Love's Energizing Light,
Joe
Dear Joe,
Thanks for posting your comment and your question.
You do know that Heavenletters are not my writing? They are Godwriting. Yes, it is a higher plane of consciousness that Godwriting comes from. God says that everyone can tap in to Him, everyone. Check out the samples of Godwriting on this blog.
Joe, most of us are very hard on our own writing.
I believe Godwriting started in 1998. I do know I was already Godwriting when Neil's first book came out -- at least when I came across it. Truth is truth so there would have to be similarities.
I read his first Conversations with God, and felt it was all truth. I have not read more. At one time I read every spiritual book, but I rarely read spiritual books now -- I don't want to be influenced, and I don't want to make comparisons either, up nor down, between Heavenletters and somebody else's writing.
I met Neil Donald Walsh in Ashland, Oregon, when I gave a Godwriting workshop at his spiritual center. At that time he said that Heavenletters were doing great good for the world.
Looking forward to more comments from you, Joe.
With love and blessings,
Gloria
