Heaven Admin never gets startled

If I am going from one room to another and I am deep in my thoughts, and then I see Heaven Admin suddenly at his computer, I am startled. He belongs there. I am going through the apartment where he lives, and yet I am startled.

If I am going out a door, and he is coming in, I am startled. My startle response is so great that you would think I live in a slasher movie -- which is not at all the case. You would think I was being chased or something when the truth is that my existence is quite even and serene.

My trust in Heaven Admin is great, and yet I am startled. I could be working at my computer, fully focused, and all of a sudden I notice Heaven Admin is standing there, I give a little yelp, and I am frozen for a moment.

What I want to say is that I have never once seen Heaven Admin get startled. Not once has he jumped or gasped or even been in the least surprised when I am standing somewhere. If I were a tiger, he would take it in his stride. It would make no difference to him.

Where Heaven Admin sits at his computer, he can't see me until I'm right there. I will even come in quietly. I will even say, "Boo!" and he doesn't blink an eye.

When I pass by his office on my way to the laundry room, let's say, and he is sitting at his computer minding his own business, and I suddenly notice him, I jump and gasp. He is doing nothing but sitting there.

Where does my reflex action come from, and where does Heaven Admin's calm from, and how do I get it?
