How to End All Wars
I have figured out how to end war, all wars, once and for all. This is guaranteed to succeed. The only thing is, we have to persuade the world to do it.
Instead of war a cooking contest!
Focusing on the Middle East right now, American, Afghani, Iraqi, Irani, and Israeli mothers and wives – not professional chefs -- would cook their native foods. Delicious rice and vegetable dishes, homemade breads, incomparable desserts, cooked and served along with native wines. All guns would be put down. Instead of a negotiating table, everyone would sit down at a dining table. Toasts would be made.
Banners would be strewn across the world, and headlines would read: “May the best food win!"
The food would be judged on appearance, aroma, and taste. All would start equal.
A secret weapon might be a pinch of saffron, or a tablespoon of coffee, and the whole recipe not revealed, but there would be no committees to investigate. The food would be the thing.
Instead of a cry for more weapons or fewer weapons, the cry would be, “More food, please. Another slice of this, a morsel of that."
I happen to prefer wonderful homemade ethnic food, so I am inclined to think that the U.S. might not win the cooking contest.
But, of course, at the end of the cooking war, no one would care who won! Everyone’s stomach would be full, and everyone would have broken bread together, and countries woven together like challah bread.

Oh WOW!
This has to be the best idea I've ever heard. Its original and practical. What could be more simpler than having an international Cookathon? Who in the world would think about war when there is a beautiful meal spread out before them. Soldiers sitting together breaking bread and sharing native wine...wow, just the picture I'm visualising puts a big smile on this face.
In Yoga, it is said that unsatisfied desires leads to anger. Good food will satisfy the desire long enough for the storm clouds of war to part letting sun shine feed the seeds of peace. I'm in! Where do I sign up?
Dear One,
You give such wonderful responses! You make me thrilled to be writing a blog. And your enthusiasm made me think to send this idea to the Letters to the Editor in my daily newspaper and maybe some others.
I don't know that "they" would take this seriously, but it could bring smiles to other faces as it did to yours, and that in itself is a wonderful thing.
God bless you, dear One.
With love, Gloria

Did you know...that Gloria is the Light of the World.....
Oh, dear asilb, you must be talking about yourself! You are actually, I happen to know, a certified Ambassador of Love.
The thing is: each of us is the Light of the World.
May all of us really know that very soon -- now!
God bless you, dear TV Host.

Hi Gloria. I read your letter about Microsoft, it was very amusing. One time when they said report the error I emailed tham and said what error? They never answered me. I also clicked onto the blue writings and got all the pages, but when I clicked onto Micrsoft, it said this page cannot be found. They must not want people bothering them in the middle of their work!!! Thank you for the beautiful Heaven Letters. I usually email them to some friends of mine. regards, Pearl.
Hi, Pearl! Nice to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the entry about Microsoft! Thank you for loving Heavenletters and sending them to your friends. Much appreciated.
God bless you.
