I saw footsteps in the snow outside my bedroom window

I live on the first floor. At first, when I looked out my bedroom window and saw the footprints, well,  I wondered if I had a peeping Tom and what should I do.

Then I remembered that a few days before, I had thrown some compost under my window. Spring is on its way, and soon I will be planting some flowers. The footsteps were mine! I was my own culprit!

This little experience taught me two things:

1. The conclusions I draw can be off.

2. The footsteps I see in my life are often my own.

What I see occurring in my life, especially when it recurs, I invited it.  Somehow I called it to me.  Somewhere in the recesses of my mind, I said: "Come over here." I served myself in the cafeteria of life!  Only it's not always so easy to see.

In other people's live, however, why, I'm an expert!

Fortunately, it must also be that we invite the wonderful things that happen to us as well.
