Internet connection

Once many years ago, Heaven Admin called me and tried to take me through the steps of putting images on the blog over the phone. As I remember, it took us three hours -- three hours to my huge embarrassment and three hours of Heaven Admin's amazing patience.

Actually, we never accomplished what we had set out to do. I think it has something to do with my learning style. I am sure it does. I am much more visual than auditory.

Heaven Admin called me Monday night after I had moved to ask what he could do to help me get connected to the internet. Well, I hadn't even set up my computer yet because I didn't want to go to bed feeling bad in case I couldn't connect, so I was doing more manageable things first like trying to make a path to the kitchen.

So Heaven Admin made an appointment to call me the next morning at ten when he would take me through the ropes. Heaven Admin sounded worried. Of course, I had no worries because Heaven Admin was there.

So we spoke the next morning. And guess what, it took less than thirty minutes! It might have even been thirteen -- and I was connected like a pro.

Of course, all I had done was type in the numbers Heaven Admin told me to and tell him what I saw.

Was Heaven Admin ever happy! I am sure he was kicking his heels in radiant joy. Certainly, there is no reason for him to lack confidence in his computer skills.

Then he said: "We have to celebrate with a beer or champagne!"

I said, "Yes!"

And then -- this is when happy Heaven Admin blew it. Do you know what he said? He said: "The last time I tried to teach you something over the phone, it took five hours."

Five hours? It had only taken three.

This is slander or libel or one of those, isn't it? Five hours -- the idea. It was only three.

Heaven Admin, I want a retraction.

Ghee, I was in Argentina then which is 2 hours ahead. Your 3 + those 2 = 5.

p.s Aren't you going to tell everyone the name of your network connection?

I see! This is higher mathematics. Very convenient!

Just to let you know, next Monday, November 8, we go off Central Daylight Savings Time and onto Central Standard Time. Then there will be a three-hour time difference between Fairfield and Capilla del Monte.

No, Sir, I will not tell the name of my internet connection. This blog is, after all, related to Heavenletters, and we have rules!

Thanks for everything. God sent a computer angel who can do anything. I am so happy and grateful.

This made me laugh - and time is relative - I am sure the 3 hours FELT like 5 hours to Santhan. And we really can't share the name of your connection?

since time does not exist .... :-))
yes dear, I'd love to hear that name, it must be fantastic indeed !!
