Effendi came for a late lunch yesterday that Heaven Admin prepared. Sule came. Three other people from Turkey came, including the young man who gives me a ride home from the Sufi House at night.  And my daughter Lauren came.

Lauren was Santhan's sous-chef. She did some prepping. She also ironed the table cloth. I set the table and made a welcome sign for Effendi & Family. Heaven Admin made high-consciousness food. Butternut squash soup. A grated beet and carrot salad. Rice pilaf, dahl, vegetable curry. A delicious bread with sweet butter. A delicious fresh ginger drink.  And then there was dessert, a variation of the dessert I told you about the other day. Heaven Admin and Lauren had a good time adding some spices and a sprinkling of organic cocoa!

I had to borrow dishes and some silverware from my neighbor Laura across the street because, as you know, just about all my dishes have gone to other homes, including the Sufi House!

Two other friends stopped by while Effendi was still here. Dianita whom you've seen on this blog before, and Samina from Pakistan who helped me so much in getting the house ready for Heaven Admin.

And then, when Effendi had to leave, he wanted a photo taken in front of the welcoming sign I had made for him.  Effendi thinks of everything.

I asked Effendi if it's okay to post his photo on the blog. He said, "Of course" in Turkish! He also nodded Yes!

Heaven Admin took the photo. Just the other day Andrea had asked for pictures.
