More about what on earth is Godwriting
Continuing right along, here are a few miscellaneous thoughts:
David Hawkins, author of Power vs. Force, says that what I hear is the Voice for God. Dr. Hawkins says that a human wouldn't be able to handle hearing directly from God. Our bodies would burn up in the direct flame of God's love.
If this is the case, then it's a ray of God I hear. It feels like God to me. It's as good as God to me. I like it this way. I just can't seem to relate to the word Spirit, or Higher Self etc. The simple Anglo-Saxon word God feels just right to me.
I'm quick to react to the semantics of words when probably I should just let them go. The other day a friend made a reference to the "information" that Heavenletters™ give. Information?!!! Information?!!! I practically choked. The word didn't sit right with me at all! The last thing Heavenletters give is information. Love and wisdom can hardly be called information. I had my little diatribe, and my friend responded: "But you know what I mean."
In a post today, Chuck well-meaningly used the word "uncertainties" in reference to Godwriting™. Chuck, I do know what you mean, and I don't want you or anyone to have to walk on eggshells -- I very much want people to post -- I appreciate it so much -- yet, here I go, compelled to do a little jig and give my two cents' worth.
Uncertainties are good! Uncertainties don't have to be fixed! We'd better be uncertain when we Godwrite. Godwriting comes from the Vast Unknown. Godwriting doesn't come from what we know or think we know. Godwriting is new every time. No person is a consummate Godwriter.
Uncertainties are wonderful! Questions are wonderful! Answers and explanations can't begin to compare or compete with uncertainties! The best explanations aren't even in the same ballpark. Certainty means limited. Uncertainty means unlimited. Hurray for uncertainties!
I am certain that God is always available. To me, that is a given. Not everyone has this sense of certainty, and it's not necessary to have it in order to Godwrite.
In addition, most everyone is uncertain that they can actually Godwrite. Then when they do Godwrite, they are surprised. Without uncertainty, could surprise exist? Without uncertainty, would wonders exist? Thank God for uncertainties!
Now, thankfully, I will get off my soapbox!
Comments
A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet (to paraphrase a quote by Shakespeare).
God, YHWH, Yahweh, Source, Universal Intelligence, The One, Higher Self, Holy Spirit, Spirit ... and on and on. To me, it's the communication that's important, not the semantics.
I have the language that suits me, and it certainly is never my intention to insult anyone's sensibilities if I use a term uncomfortable for them.
I might have been your friend that referred to the 'information' in Heavenletters because at times I most certainly received new information.
I must disagree ... love and wisdome certainly CAN be information. I love being informed how worthy I am, how loved I am, especially when I'm not feeling either of those.
To love uncertainty, yet to be so certain on how a particular thing must be called by a particular name. That CERTAIN things must be called by CERTAIN names ... I say, HURRAY FOR UNCERTAINTY.
Off my soapbox now, too ... LOL
u ladies r so much fun on thse soapbxs! why r thy cld soapbxs?
Could Dr Hawkins be wrong? Did Moses Burn or Abrahem. You dear Gloria are possitive you Hear God talking in your head and you relay the massage, Thank you Thank you Thank you. Love All Serve All to parafrase Sai Baba. Jack
Gloria, dear, we are in total agreement that uncertainties are good. Without uncertainties we most certainly would not have surprise, taking chances, wonders and variety. And soap boxes are not such a bad thing, either. Let’s always feel free to say whatever is on our minds!
When I mentioned the book by Joseph Benner, I gave the wrong name. Sorry. The book was written in 1916, but it is called “The Impersonal Life.” Joseph, in his writings, says he received the words of this book with “a quiet mind,” while he was filled with “an intense yearning for the guidance of The Spirit.” From what I gather, he also wrote the words that he felt God inspired him to write. What is so remarkable to me is that there is no inconsistency between what Joseph wrote and what you write today, Gloria. The book has perhaps only 1% or less of the guidance, reassurance and loving ideas as Heavenletters, but the remarkable consistency from a totally independent source lends strong credence to a message that is so in conflict with most worldly teachings in our times. True, if you are listening to your heart such credence is not needed, but many of us are not so good at hearing what our heart has to say.
Before I go into the paragraphs from Benner I wanted to point out, PLEASE do not take any implications from what Benner said in his paragraphs to mean I am indirectly talking about Gloria or Heavenletters. The general perspective seems helpful to our discussions, but the specifics most definitely aren’t. Benner wrote in a different time and addressed a different set of sensibilities. The paragraphs I am presenting are from Chapter XIV Mediums and Mediators, on pages 184 and 185.
“Should a number be gathered together to hear My Word spoken through one of My Priests, it is not the Priest of himself but I, in the heart of each hearer, Who draw from the Priest the vital words that sink deep into the consciousness of each. The Priest knows not what he says that so affects you, and may not even comprehend My Meaning of the words he speaks to you.
“I within him do draw from the combined devotion to and belief in Me, consciously and unconsciously expressed by all those gathered around him, the Spiritual Force which serves as a channel or a connecting line through or over which I reach the consciousness of those minds I have prepared to comprehend My Meaning. For although I speak the same words to all, yet these words contain a distinct and separate message for each, and no one knows any but the message I speak to him; for I within you choose from the words the meaning I intend for you, and I within your brother and sister likewise choose the meaning I intend for each one of them.
“When two or three are gathered together in My Name, there I will always be; for the Idea which draws them together I, within each, inspire – for it is My Idea. From the union of their aspirations towards Me do I create a medium or channel through which I enable the Soul consciousness to gain such glimpses of me as each is capable of comprehending.”
If Benner is an accurate conduit and indeed he is writing God’s word, we need to add a third factor into the equation of how Heavenletters comes about. Not only must we consider God’s selection of a conduit and Gloria’s decision and willingness to bring the message forth, we must appreciate the crucial importance of the Heavenletters audience in drawing this all forth. It is also interesting to me the emphasis on how each reader has his own message. This would make it easy to understand how we may mot always agree on interpretations. At any rate, Gloria, I thought these passages had an interesting resonance to the discussions of the Godwritng process. With love and respect…..Chuck
Yes, the importance of the Heavenletter audience!
Very beautiful. Thank you, dear Chuck.
