NBA Gary Trent
As Panos and I waited for our flight from Munich to Athens, I
sat across from a very tall athletic young man. Finally I said, “Are you a basketball player?"
It turns out he indeed is. He has been with the NBA players for nine years. He was on his way to Greece where he will stay until June.

He’s famous. More than that, he’s very fine, gentle, and astute. He asked if we had any Heaven books in English with us. I was sorry we didn’t.
Gary suggested that when I’m back in Iowa, I mail a book to Natalia, his wife. She’s still in Ohio, and she will take it with her to Greece. Of course, it will be my pleasure to send the book.
I have always had a dream of a sports figure behind Heavenletters!
Panos took pictures of Gary and me. Gosh, he's tall, and I'm short.

Wow, now I have an excuse for showing this blog to my son. He's a sports maniac, and he adores NBA basket. He gets up two o'clock in the morning to see the matches.

I sit up all night watching Qricket a spore not well known in America. Basket Ball I do mot understand nor anercan football. Thank you for posting your picture with my nephew Gary. He is tall. He is my nephew - his father is my brother. We are from Ohio, Columbus. He is a wonderful person dad, nephew, son, husband. All of the men on my dad's side all look alike and now with his son Little Gary he tooooooo has the same features.

When I looked Gary up on Google, it said he was a fierce player. I found him one of the gentlest people I ever met. It must be just wonderful to be a member of his family. Like you, I am so happy that he has success.

gary trent is my third cousin.. his grandpa( Roy Haynes ). Is my grandma's brother (Tunnie Haynes). Yeah i thought i'd let you now. If you ever talk to him again ask him about Marvin Scott (My dad).

Hello! Guess who has graced me with his presence today!?!? Gary Trent... He sat at my table in the Lifetime Cafe and talked to me... I don't think he knew that I knew who he was. ha ha... It was pretty cool.
