Paris, here we come

Beloved Friends,

Right now Heaven Admin is driving us to Paris from Belgium. It is about 9 p.m. I am sitting at the table in the motor home trying to type this blog. I say trying because the table, computer, and I are bouncing up and down! I have my seat belt fastened, but it is quite a feat to be able type while bouncing.

We are not connected to the internet, and I don't know when we will be, but, at least, this blog entry will be ready to post when we are connected.

Heaven Admin took some photos of tonight's supper. A wonderful pumpkin soup, about five different kinds of salads, each delicious, wonderful Belgian bread and a great cheese from France. My contribution was six dates filled with cream cheese and a nut on top. Again, Heaven Admin took photos, and he will get them up on this entry as soon as he possibly can.

Heaven Admin is doing all the driving, all the planning, all the purchasing, tickets etc.  He cooks – he's a marvelous cook – and seems to clean up too before I can get to it. He is taking care of everything, and I am a handful. I really am. I forget to latch a door about once a day, and you have to latch everything down when you drive in a motor home. But I have angels, and Heaven Admin is one of them.

I could have called this entry "I almost got killed by a bicycle in Belgium." Actually, it was a motor bike. There is serious bike-riding going on in Belgium. There is a special bike lane on the sidewalk. Streets are so narrow that cars park directly on the sidewalk. Next to it, is the pedestrian lane. Then there is a fairly wide pink bicycle/motor cycle lane. I stepped out of the motor home into the bike lane without looking, and it was a miracle I didn't get clipped.

I ought to mention that the motor home saves us a lot of money. We save on hotels, taxis, travel fares and restaurants, to say nothing of the convenience. We don't have to pack and unpack. We don't have to hurry to catch trains or planes.  We wouldn't be on oujr way to Paris if it weren't for the motor home.

We will, however, return the motor home September 30 and fly from London to Turkey. From Turkey, we'll fly to Israel, then back to London. Heaven Admin will see me off, and then he will go to Romania on business, and then fly to the U.S. in early November, get a motor home, and then we're off to Argentina.

Pinch me! Is my life real?!!!

Note: We haven't found any Cyber cafes in Europe so it's been hard for us to connect. I think I'm going to go ahead and post another entry or two I have written while I am connected.
