Response to Cathy's Comment

I have had a few thoughts, visions etc that i believe come from God and His…Things He told me happened not long after I was told… Am hoping He tells me more, but right now it seems to have come to a stop. I am not sure why, but I do hope that I can get that spiritual side of myself back soon!Beloved Cathy, you make me think of some things I tell people at Godwriting™ workshops.

I, Gloria, preface what I say by expressing that everyone's relationship with God belongs to God and the person, and it's not for me to interfere.  I make clear that our relationship with God belongs to each of us and God, and it's not my place to say what it has to be or has not to be. Then I say what I think.

Cathy, I'm not sure what you mean when you say that spiritual side of your self? Do you mean where God gives you predictions?

At workshops, I suggest that people stay away from certain questions for various reasons.  The main reason is: Why ask hard questions? Why make Godwriting hard for us when we can make it easy?

I suggest asking questions that further our understanding, questions that call for more than very short answers like yes or no.  Better to ask questions that have real meaning for us, questions from our hearts, questions that matter to us, questions from our hearts so that God can ease our hearts.   Not intellectual surface questions.

Here are types of questions that I suggest people stay away from:

* Intrusive Questions. Questions about what other people should do. For instance, a wife wouldn't ask God what her husband should do to make their marriage better! Better to ask what she can do to make her marriage better.

* Esoteric Questions. I remember that someone asked an esoteric question through Heavenletters. I don't remember what the question was, but God's answer was:

Why do you want to know?

And that brings up:

* Questions that are a matter of curiosity. These are idle questions really.

* Questions to prove something. Once a man asked me to ask God what his (this man's) mother's maiden name was. He felt that if God came up with the right answer, it would prove that the answer came from God. I would never waste God's time with a question like that.

*Predictive Questions. Of course, we'd like to know that we're going to get a job we applied for. We want to know if this person is our soul mate. The thing is life is going to play itself out as it plays itself out. Why ask God limited questions when He comes from a field of Vastness?

Visions are a different matter, of course. In my experience, visions seem to come unannounced.

Cathy, I don't think anyone's spiritual side can be lost or misplaced, certainly not yours!

With love and blessings,

Gloria

When I do 'readings,' I don't prepare other than to breathe in spirit--my way of consciously moving my mind out of the way--and pray to be an open channel. It's actually not readings, it's hearings.

Funny thing is, Godde has several times had me give sort of Godwriting assignments to the person--with the many of the same 'how to ask questions' you outlined above.

These are also excellent 'how to pray' guides.

Your answer to Cathy is so right on--we are always plugged into Godde, but sometimes we have to flip the switch to turn on the light.
