Samples of Gaucheness

Here are only 3 examples that will give you an idea of the range of  my gaucheness:

1. Santhan is taking a walk. I open a window in the motor home, and don't know how to close it. In my attempts, part of the window comes apart. I do not know how to put it back. It should be simple. Just reattach the piece, only I can't seem to reattach it. I know that Santhan will fix it in a flash, but I didn't even want him to know I had broken it. It seems to be my fate, alas, that none of my errors are to be hidden.  And, of  course, Heaven Admin fixes it in a flash.

2. Heaven Admin and I were walking near the Muee d'Orsay in Paris, and a well-dressed gentleman came up to us and said to Santhan in English: "I just found this gold ring in the street. I'll give it to the lady." He dropped the ring in my hand. The lady (me) accepted it. I even put it on my finger, and it fit! And I'm thinking: "Wow, this man wants me to have the ring he found in the street." I think of what a great  Paris story I'm going to have to write a blog about.

Now, all the while, Santhan's face was noncommittal. Unlike me, he was not surprised when the man followed us and asked us for change. "Change, change," the man said following us. "Change." I quickly gave him the ring back. He was a clever beggar. Would you believe it? I had fallen for a scam.

Nor was Heaven Admin surprised later when another man who had also found an identical gold ring on the street wanted me to have it. Nor was I by this time.

3. I took an early morning walk, wanting to let Heaven Admin be undisturbed for a while. Not only did I lock myself out and have to disturb him, to my horror, I had unknowingly stepped into some doggie doo and walked right into the motor home full of life and innocent until the discovery.

Is Heaven Admin being tested? Am I just a pawn in nature's plan? Will Heaven Admin, without any illusions left, be up for taking me along on a three-month motor home trip to Argentina?
