Bernie Siegel, M.D., author, Love, Peace & Healing, once sent me an article which described St. Catherine of Siena who received messages from God. She was in ecstasy and actually levitated. From the outside, you could tell something spectacular was going on.
It isn’t like that for me! Of course, it’s better that no one sees me as I am in my disheveled p.j.’s in my cluttered office! And there isn’t anything to see. I am sure that from the outside no one could tell. I imagine I could be writing an entry for this blog or a silly email or Godwriting, and, from looking, no one would know the difference. I am still me when I Godwrite, except I’m Godwriting.
Writing down Heavenletters is unquestionably the high point of my day, and yet it is often not momentous, just something I do predominantly without awareness of any overall meaning.
Often I don’t even read the Heavenletter over. I just press save. Now I also send a copy to Khanyi Media for safekeeping.
When it’s close to the time when the Heavenletter will actually be sent out on the airwaves, that’s when I read it over. I fix verb tenses which often need fixing. I fix typos, add a word that clearly was left out by mistake, delete a word or phrase that I mistakenly typed in twice, things like that.
When I read over the Heavenletter, some of its power reaches me, but mainly I am doing a task.
It is when the published Heavenletter reaches me that I am first struck dumb. And even more when someone comments on a Heavenletter. Then I am impelled to reread it, and it is like I read the words for the first time. This is when I really take in the beauty of God’s words.
At these times, of course, it is a mystery to me how such love and wisdom can possibly come from my computer. You may not know, but I do know what a dodo I’ve been in life. I can hardly believe God’s goodness.
I have on occasional thought that God must have made a mistake in giving me these messages. What is that expression? You can turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse? Well, God can do that. More than that, God has said, in effect, that we are all silk purses. I well know that it takes no special talent to Godwrite.
Any mailman can deliver any message. The mailman is an innocent carrier of the message. Whatever the message he delivers, he is just the mailman. The message is irrespective of the mailman. He can be a good mailman or a lazy mailman. It makes no difference to the message he delivers.
And sometimes the mailman is very lucky, and can read the messages he delivers, and be so very blessed. And sometimes the receivers of the message tell the mailman how great a message was that he delivered.
