The Common Cold
No one, but no one, has ever had a cold as uncommon as the one I have right now! Cough, cough, cough.
I haven't had a cold in years and years. I have thought it must be because I don't believe in germs! Yet it appears I must believe in germs more than I thought because I sure caught a cold.
This makes me think of two things I've read. One is that colds are good, and we should have them! They clean us out.
The second thing I think of is what David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., has attested to. In multiple personalities, one personality may have diabetes, for example, and another personality does not! One personality may have serious allergies, and another personality not at all. The same body, one with a specific illness, and another without that illness. That sure seems to support the theory that everything comes from our thoughts. The trouble with that is that we must have deep thoughts we're unaware of.
I hope no one catches this cold!

Having a cough in the middle of summer must be quite a strain, dear one, I don't envy you. From what I observe, people with healthy immune reactions do get colds. The colds aren't severe and not frequent, but they get them. I had a summer cold only once years ago, and it was really bad, high fever in the heat of summer. I remember it was a reaction to some high emotional stress. The stress went with the fever, and I had lots of rest which was highly welcome. Yes, colds are good, that's what I see.
And yes, "everything comes from our thoughts", and there are "deep thoughts we're unaware of", but that should not be troubling. If we had n o deep thoughts we're not aware of yet – that would be a really troublesome state of affairs. We could pack up then, couldn't we?
Get well quickly dear Gloria. You have my energy that I send Love Jack
Jack, I feel your love and energy making me feel better already!
And, yes, dear Jochen, thankfully, we must also have good thoughts we are unaware of as well. Otherwise, how would we have met?
More love coming from the southern hemisphere. Basta con el cold!
Senora, I speak spanglish here and everyone seems to understand it. Maybe Spanish and English will merge and the learning curve will flatten out.
Dearest Gloria, much love coming from a ocuple of states away as well ...
And One, trust me, your Spanglish is far more English than Spanish. The Spanglish spoken in Texas, at least in Southwest Texas, is far more Spanish than English ... LOL ... I went with a "Texican" friend to visit her family in San Jose and do some shopping in Juarez. (The term Texican, from what her father told me, is what those whose families have been in Texas from when it was still a part of Mexico call themselves, somewhat tongue-in-cheek.)
