Veering toward the Esoteric

I remember one spiritual book I read so many years ago, written by two American Indians who knew without doubt that they were walk-ins. These two authors were very simple and had great depth and, without fanfare, carried great authority. Of course, I can't say the authors were walk-ins any more than I can say they were not. I did, however, take their book at face value.

The book contained case histories of about ten people.

I gave the book away long ago, and there is only one story I remember. It was about a severely retarded girl who had grand mal seizures to the degree that she was constantly and heavily sedated. She slept something like twenty-hours out of twenty-four, yet this girl conveyed great love. Certainly, her family loved her. When her parents died, a sister happily continued to take care of her.

The authors stated that this retarded epileptic girl that anyone would have felt sorry for, was, in actuality, a very advanced soul.

All the time her body slept, her soul was traveling the world, giving great healings and blessings. This was her purpose on Earth.

All this is beyond my understanding, yet I can't say such things are not happening any more than I can say they are.

I read another book once, actually two by Machaelle S. Wright. The first book was entitled Behaving as if the God in All Life Mattered (The second book may have been entitled Dancing in the Shadows of the Moon.) I believe it was Machaelle who had the garden Perelanda. Anyway, Machaelle had had a pretty bad childhood. She was fourteen when she was totally on her own, not as a street kid but self-supporting as I remember even when her well-to-do father could have supported her.

Machaelle, as an adult, was consciously aware that while she slept, she was living another whole existence somewhere. She knew every detail about her other existence. Her other life might have been on Earth on the other side of the globe or it could have been in another land – I just don’t remember what she said -- and I gave these books away too.

But here’s where I’m going with this:

God in Heavenletters™ is saying all the time that we don’t know Who we are. If we did know, what might we know about the wonders we accomplish while living our ordinary lives on Earth? How do we know what we are really accomplishing during this lifetime? If souls do meet, how do we know where we have met and when, or if, perhaps, we are meeting right now?

Think of God all the time. Even in dreams. Especially in dreams. The thought of the One will merge all realities into one unbroken state of super conscious awareness.

Someone said..

Pray a little everyday. Meditate a little more and think of God all the time.

Think of God all the time. Yes, that is what matters.

Thank you for the reminder. :)

Dear Gloria,
I love the example from the book by Native Americans. I think that all severely disabled children happen to be very advanced souls and are here to radiate love and teach the rest of us (who pity them their "lot")how to do it. Talk to any family who had one of these children as a member and many of them would agree. The lessons they bring are profound and they reach everyone who connects with them.

Thank you Gloria for this beautiful reflective and inspiring share...Truth is even though in this now...in all being in the physical abode...there are aspects the soul imparts to the mind...so as to wake us up from our sleep...reminding us to be aware of all the connectedness
in all beings...
