What Business Can Be

This is really a guest entry. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. What is talked about here is real and is really happening, and there is more to come.

This is only part of a company communication sent to employees. The communication began: "Hi ya, Friends."

I have never in my life seen any communication from a business owner to his workers that comes anywhere near this. One day words like this will be the norm:

As you know I believe in leadership from the centre. I believe that in each of you is a leader. Gone are the days of super star CEOs and power hungry directors. We don't have that practice in our organisation. My title is Steward. I am removing the idea of Chief Executive Officer. Instead I am a steward in our company, which means that I take care of something (while it is in my capacity) that belongs to someone else. I believe that our company belongs to God, to humanity and to us. Our company exists to serve the world. Profits for Social upliftment. Conscious Capitalism. Business for the people.

Each of you are managers. Managers of your own processes. Together we collaborate and shift the reality of our world.

I believe that idealism without conscious action turns into unfulfilled dreams. That idealism without practical solutions decay's into insubstantial fantasy. In our work we look for a harmony between idealistic heart concepts and practical action solutions. We want to see a harmony between mind and heart. This is possible. Not only is it possible, it is also the only solution that is available for humanity. A solution that requires heart and mind to be harmoniously applied to all aspects of human existence.

Our focus as an organisation is business. We are experimenting and applying ourselves into the field of consciousness and business. How can we as a global family have material abundance as well as spiritual emotional well being? Can we use business as a tool to catalyze this process? YES.

Our society has made some of its major advancements from business and war. Clearly we are tired of war. So instead we are using the other way (business) to bring about the change we all desire to see in our world. I have spoken to you previously about this big transition that awaits our world. Well, guess what? It's happening. Right now in front of your eyes, in your lifetime, you will experience this transition and be a part of it.

Big changes and Letting go of old limiting concepts are ahead. I'm sure you have heard, "To see the change you so desire, you must be that change". The time is ripe for each of you to individually change your perception and ways of thinking. It's time to pull out those practices we did together previously. Moments of silence before work. Asking for your work to blessed. Daily meditation. Breath work. Whatever works for you, use it. Just make sure you have found something that allows you to function at your very best. Be true to yourself.

Search for ways of self motivation. Search for ways to be enthusiastic about what you do. Find purpose in your work and allow your love to flow into all your actions.

Perhaps some of you are not ready for this. It's ok. Take a time out and then come back. It's better this way. It's better to take a time out and resolve your personal matters. Please be alert for anything that makes you think you cannot fly. Then find ways to get rid of it. Even when you are on a time out, help is available. But you must ask.

Our team cannot have a member in it that is comfortably numb.

I'm ready to soar. My wings are spread. I would like to be riding the thermals with each of you. I know in each of you there is a flower waiting to blossom. A phoenix waiting to rise from the ashes. In our organisation we are all stewards of the earth and all of life. As I write that, I think I will make it Khanyi Media's company statement.
