When life is easy

chamaigne.jpg

When things are easy, I think of a waterfall. So gracious. So ever-flowing. No resistance. It must be I am used to meeting resistance because I sure appreciate it when life is easy.

Chamaigne Montana (isn't that a fabulous name?) asked me to write an article for the website that she and other Fairfield people have created to serve writers everywhere -- Writers' Voices.   http://www.writersvoices.com/

I am hard to please, but I am delighted with EVERYTHING on this site. That was my first nice surprise. It feels so good to simply, without effort, like what others do.

More surprises:

Like me and everyone connected to Heavenletters™, Chamaigne and all the principals in her organization volunteer.  Nothing wrong with being paid, yet it's so relaxing to know that good people are giving from their hearts and that their work is a labor of love.

The invitation from Chamaigne was to write about Godwriting™. No hesitation whatever from a site that is not primarily a spiritual site. Right up front. Write about Godwriting. How I love such openness. Thanks, Chamaigne.

Then I asked Chamaigne: "How many words do you want?"

"Whatever it comes out to."

"When's the deadline?"I asked.

Chamaigne said, "Whenever you're ready."

Do you know how nice all this is? No restrictions! Freedom! Easy! I love it!

Here Chamaigne has laid out the red carpet for me to write about Godwriting, and do you know what? I have been struggling with writing the piece! I've started it six different ways.

Where is my writer's voice?!!! What writer's block do I have within me? And how do I break through it?

Any suggestions, Chamaigne? Anybody?

Methinks it's okay to begin in the middle - or wherever you are. There is freedom there too!

In joy and appreciation,
Martha

Writer's block is something that most writers can relate to and probably never get tired of reading another take on it.

It seems to me that the essence of Godwriting is removing a fundamental block. And in your blog entries, you probably rarely encounter a block because you aren't confined to any particular subject.

Maybe you can write something about removing blocks. Maybe it has to do with left/right brain connection or disconnection. Maybe it isn't so much about removing a block as it is going around it. Maybe you have specific techniques you use.

And who knows, God might like to write the article Himself. You could at least offer Him the opportunity.

Gloria, here is my take on your question.

In asking you to write an article for her writer’s site, Chamaigne is inviting you to build a bridge, so to speak. You say her website is “not primarily a spiritual site” and she wants you to introduce Godwriting to her viewers. I think the task itself is the block. This is the huge task that both life itself and Heavenletters address: starting from material, practical daily life, thinking like the world thinks and being asked to bridge over to seeing beyond all this, being aware of the One Source and being open to the possibility of hearing His Voice, right here, right now.

Here are some things that seem self-evident to me and supported by the many messages of Heavenletters. Sure, God wants you to write this article. It is God who will complete this task, not you. As you know, when you do His work, and the perspective from which you approach the task is not in the way, the task is easy. This would imply that you are getting in the way, but, of course, you know how to get out of the way.

I look forward to reading what you come up with – it can only be excellent and most helpful. Loving you…..Chuck

Bev: God, I find I have resistances to hearing/writing Your words.
God: Ask for the resistance to go. There are layers. Ask every time you come to a new layer. In asking is the healing. Writing is an action that helps release the blocks. You write to Me, and blocks within yourself are dissolved. Don't delay. Now is the time. Start somewhere, and it will come to you. Just do it.

Beloved Martha, HAHA -- you hoisted me on my own petard!

I'm listening to you, Charles, and Chuck very seriously.

I remember a computer programmer I worked with once. He said that he found, when there was a bug in a program he was working on, the bug was in him. When he took care of something within himself, the bug in the program was gone.

I'll have more to say on this later -- maybe its own blog entry.

Thanks, everybody.

Hi Gloria,

How fun to see my picture on your blog, and to read your entry and all the comments!

I like what Chuck said. It's actually a huge task to build a bridge - to introduce a topic to a new audience.

My challenge as a writer is that once I get started I want to include everything, and it gets to long for anyone to want to read. Everything is interconnected, after all! I smile when I read that you have started the article many different ways. It sounds like me!

I could impose a deadline if that would help. :) But, the reality is that door is always open. I love building bridges together!

I look forward to reading what you come up with, and I'm sure it will be great. I think an article on God-Writing could be interesting for our readers, not only as another form of writing, but potentially as a another way of understanding "the zone" that artists, athletes, and writers talk about. (That place where the flow is so smooth and strong that it feels like it isn't just you any more, that you have gotten out of the way and something else has taken over.) Even people who are not interested in overtly "spiritual" things experience these "in the zone" moments, and seek for ways to re-create them. I think what you have to say about God-Writing will resonate and have a wide appeal!

Love and Light,

Chamaigne

I have a cure for writers block: Housework!

Dear One, you hit it this time. House is a blessing we all need specially if house is HOME. But Work sounds like a compulsiom and a 4 letter word I do not like. so if you combine the two it sounds just right Love you all and Laugh more. Jack
