Wonderful One-Line Expressions
These wonderful one-liners are real statements that real people have made, and they are outstanding.
1. For example, my daughter just started a new job in a brand new company. The man she is working for is someone she used to work with years and years ago. He already knew all she could accomplish, and he called her out of the blue and asked her if she would like to be his operations manager. She said, "Yes."
Her first day at work, Michael said to her what is probably the finest comment ever made anywhere:
“Lauren, I like the way I think when I’m around you.

One of my favorites came from a new co-worker many years ago:
"There's a solution for every problem."
She is a third grade teacher and I heard her say it to a student as I was walking past her classroom. It stopped me in my tracks at the time. I was 39 years old and no one had ever told me this. It was wonderfully comforting like Santhan's "Everything is going to be all right." This teacher has become one of my nearest and dearest friends and the phrase passes my lips every chance I get.
My father had hundred's of one-liners that were very funny and I'm afraid, often unprintable in polite company! If I can call one up that's more appropriate I will put it here later.
No expectations, no disappointments!
"Open me to my own heart where Heaven is and You reside."
Heaven Letters' brilliance, of course!
Gloria and everyone: one of my favorite God one-liners is:
"The secret to a full heart is to empty it" From the Heavenletter titled: The Secret to a full heart. Jimi.
This is the line that has kept me going personally for years (I found it literally in the dust of a street):
'Open your heart, don't be afraid, I will be with you.'
You all are certainly raising this entry higher than it started. I never even thought about choosing lines from Heavenletters. You are the leaders here.
I just spun the Cosmic Wow Wheel, and I received

I didn't find a deep quote there, but I did find a very practical down-to-earth one:
"If someone is sewing a dress, let them choose the buttons."
I think God must be having fun. :)
At our Laughter Leader training we were taught to use the following to acknowledge folks who come in with many problems to tell you, but that's not what the session is for, and yet they have to be acknowledged that you've heard them, so to simply say, "It's always something" or "You just never know," while shaking our head, then get on to the next thing. But I love, "Everything will be all right." I use that one often; it's really true.
And then there's my favorite from the Bible: "It came to pass." Everything comes to pass, doesn't it? Nothing comes to stay. It's even better than "This, too, shall pass."
One of Larry's great one-liners: When asked if he'd like something that he didn't want, rather than just saying no thank you, he'd say, "No thanks, I just ironed my shoelaces."
"Love does not dominate, it cultivates." Goethe
"Tension is who you think you should be...Relaxation is who you are." Chinese Proverb
Some great one-liners here! Really beautiful.
I like the line "It's not my job." It's very useful to say to oneself when one thinks one has to do everything?
Hint, hint.
I really don't know what you're talking about! But I do need to walk, Jacqueline. Hint, hint.
Yes, I love this one: "Thoughts become Things" its from Mike Dooley and he sends out great "notes from the universe"
He is another one of "us" seeking enlightenment and love, spreading his understanding with humor and light....InJoy!
Love and blessings Gloria and all,
Is that the truth, Jeannette!
