There is a play by Jean Paul Sartre called No Exit.  As I remember, the people are in a waiting room. It's really Purgatory, but they don't know it. They are always in process but not getting anywhere. They never get out of the waiting room they are in.

Am I in that play? Will I ever finish Heaven News? Will I ever get out?
