The above is a photo of the teacher strike in Chicago where my daughter lives.

Here are more photos of the teacher strike. The strike meant that Lauren wasn't able to take her regular bus home from work that day.

Lauren, how did the teachers' strike turn out?

This photo below shows the wonderful hospitality and love Chicago has for dogs. You see water bowls and dog food on the sidewalk in front of many stores.

When you live in a big city, you tend to get your nails done frequently. Black finger nail polish?!!! Lauren, do I remember correctly that this color is called Mink Muff?

And below, what is the name of this blue? And you pointed out that your nails matched Sherry's blouse at work!

In Chicago, when someone comes over for dinner, he brings a gift like this! It's all delicious fresh fruit.

And, of course, you know about Teeny and Bujo, two hard-working cats. More about the two boys in a studio apartment overlooking Lake Michigan another day.

The teachers have not finalized their contract, but went back to work last week.

I don't know the name of my blue polish, and the brown was mink muff.

And Bujo loved the cantaloupe from the fruit bouquet!

Please find out the name of the blue polish! It's one of those things I just have to know!
