God first

For how long have I heard that all service is to God, and just now this is really sinking in. Serving God is paramount. God first.

Although we give service to individuals, it is God we serve.

I am wondering, as we have it in mind to serve individuals and forgot for the moment about serving God -- oh, you know, the sort of thing such as this person really needs me and I get off on it -- no matter how well-meaning we may be, we are not only serving our own egos but the egos of those we serve, or wish to serve. This is a new insight for me.

It is seeming to me that having in mind that we are serving others from ourselves amounts to attachment, and having in mind that we are serving God is freeing. With God first, everything becomes easier. We are responsible to serving God. Although we offer to individuals as we can, it is God Who is taking care of them as He takes care of us. Our service is to God. He is the Doer, and He is the Giver.

God has said that we are His hands that move for Him.

I keep saying we, and, of course, I am talking about myself. I'm not the only one certainly, yet many have already truly come to this and live this. They have gotten beyond hanging on to their own importance.

Scott Werner, medical intuitive, Heavenreader, was in town this weekend. Something he said helped bring me to this realization.

He said:

Don't give your vital force away. Pull down God's love and give that.

All love is God's anyway.

It seems silly to say that I write this blog for God. What would He want with it? And yet I offer this writing today to you on God's behalf and in service to God who loves us all.

God first. God above all.  And everything is different.
