Photos - Indian Ocean in winter

This photo that I place first here is one of my favorites because I finally caught the water splashing. I wish you could see the rushing waves in winter for yourself and the mist that rises.

And here are more shots of the beautiful Indian Ocean and sky:

Now you must see some of the rocks below. So beautiful. What colors!

Below is a rock formation that is taller than it looks in this pic. Heaven Admin manages to climb this in his bare feet, sit on top, and read a book from his Kindle. He is a mountain climber.

Below are some rocks close up. I collect them too!

You know there are people who come here for three weeks a year -- if they're lucky. Or a week, and some come for a weekend only.

How fortunate I am to live here in Palm Beach, Hibiscus Coast, South Africa. This is where I stay for months and months and maybe years. I feel like the fortunate of the fortunate.

It is just beautiful there! It seems a worthy challenge to get Heaven Admin. sitting atop this huge outcropping of rocks, reading. Even just the silhouette would be quite a photo! Keep up the great work, both of you...

So it's Hibiscus Coast. I had been looking on an atlas map of South Africa at the library to see where you are but I was looking for Palm Beach. Now I can find you!
In reading about the Hibiscus Coast I found out that between May and July a mass migration of sardines takes place off the coast and transforms the sea into one of the biggest feeding frenzies on earth, attracting bottlenose dolphins, sharks, game fish, and gulls. Fisherman also come for the harvest.
The photos are beautiful. You are so blessed to there. It makes me happy to think of you on the beach looking out to sea with the wind in your hair.

Which rock was the one where Santhan and I pushed you up to and where Arnand was proudly standing on the top of?

If I remember, Arnand's was a rock formation to the right of where we enter the beach. Santhan's is to the left. The one Arnand was on -- the whole family was, I think, is quite climbable. It has footholds!

Those were the days, Normand, when you were here!
