What I've been reading lately
I love to read. Always have. Thankfully, Heaven Admin thought of giving me a Kindle so I always have plenty to read while I'm in South Africa.
I read mostly at night before bed when I can no longer focus on work.
I have read some books really worth reading, only I didn't write book reports as I went along, so I can only be brief.
Twenty Fragments of a Ravenous Youth by Xiaolu Guo, translated from the Chinese.
The cover of this book is pictured above. This book was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Unusual. I loved every word of it. Maybe you will too. Let me know!
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Delightful. Entrancing. Unusual. Alluring! As I remember, for me, it didn't hold tight at the ending. Just the same, you've got to read it!
The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown
Absolutely wonderful. Delightful, heart-wrenching. It really shows the impact one of us has upon another. A must-read. I loved it. Wanted it to go on forever. Every character is marvelous and unforgettable.
Good Things I Wish You by A. Manette Ansay
Unusual romance, yet much more than a romance. All of these books I'm recommending are unique. They are definitely not bought off the rack.
Each of these books I've mentioned are about life, and each raises life many notches higher.
Right now I'm mostly reading escapist detective books like those in the Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson. I got to like the characters and the fast pace of the books. I can't keep reading them forever, yet they work splendidly for now.
And that's all, folks!

Thanks, Gloria. I will sample these on Audible.com which is how I mostly read nowadays (driving so much!).
I have checked my world clock and you are 9 hours ahead of me. Your mornings are my late nights!
